Rainstorms and Love Notes

I'm over the moon excited to introduce you to Ashley from Rainstorms and Love Notes!

Ask Ashley about her blog and she'll tell you Rainstorms and Love Notes is a lifestyle blog where she shares new recipes, writes about life and love, and talks about her obsession with binge-watching TV shows and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

She had me at recipes and binge-watching TV shows. Seriously.
Ashley's married to a pretty cool guy named TJ. If you wanna know how cool he is, just take a look at her blog design because he's the muscle behind it.

And then while you're hanging out over on her blog checkin' out her sweet set up, you'll want to check out some of her recipes because she's a total wiz in the kitchen. She's got everything from banana oatmeal chocolate chip muffins, to a refreshing homemade chicken noodle soup, to shrimp & spinach fettuccine.

She's also full of insight... for instance, she'll tell you why that cute maxi dress in your closet may not be as innocent as it looks.

If you've got pets - or kids! - you know they come with a t-o-n of toys that can be hard to keep under control. As I write this, I have a green squeaky penguin to my left and a colorful braided rope to my right. Don't get me wrong - I love having a dog, and I can't imagine life without Maggie, but there are definitely times I've wondered aloud, "where'd all of this stuff come from?!" Ashley has an easy DIY tutorial that helps organize the mess into something that's a lot prettier to look at. Can I get an 'amen'?!

Basically, Ashley's pretty awesome. She regularly posts pictures of food and her cats on Instagram. Plus, she hangs out on Twitter and Pinterest. Mark my word for it, you'll want to follow Rainstorms and Love Notes on Bloglovin', so get on that!!

Have You Met Paulina?

Have you met Paulina (and Palmer)?

She blogs at Discovering Simply Me - and let me tell you that she covers everything under the sun! You want to see fashion posts? She's got 'em. You're looking for blogging tips and HTML assistance? Yep, got those too. Are you trying to get rid of your armpit fat? This girl has got you covered! Need some tips for online dating? Those are here, too! Paulina's been through some rough patches in the past {just like the rest of us!} and is working to build herself a better future. She doesn't cover up anything - she's upfront and honest, just like your real life friends!

Plus, she's got a cutie named Palmer - her therapy dog - who you'll occasionally see photobombing her fashion posts. Can't go wrong with cute pets! And you'll also find book reviews. I'm always looking for a few good books to add to my collection, so these are some of my favorite posts of hers!

You're missing out if you don't head over to Discovering Simply Me! If that's not your style, then make sure you're following Paulina on Twitter @Paulina_Smiles_!

Have You Met Stephanie?

Have you met Stephanie?

She blogs over at Bourbon & Glitter and hosts a party link up every week. If that doesn't ring a bell, you're sure to have seen a photo or two or nineteen of her trusty sidekick, Hawkeye.

Hawkeye and Steph live in Chicago and were kind enough to send email after email recommending places to eat and shop when I was in their city last week. And you know what? I didn't even get recommendations from my own real-life friends like that! Steph rocks, hands down, and that's all there is to it.

If her suggestions weren't enough, she posted this pin-worthy post full of summer cocktails, each one looks better than the last.
Peach sangria? Check.
Peach martini? Check.
Sorbet mimosa? Check.
And, I'll take one of each please and thank you.

Here's what she wants you to know about her -
I'm Steph and I blog over at Bourbon and Glitter! I wish I could give you a quick description to sum up everything you'd find on my blog, but I just can't. It's everything from making goals to making cocktail cupcakes recipes each month to making 1000 jello shots. In my blog, as in my life, I never take anything too seriously. I like to think that sometimes you'll learn things, find some recipes you like, get some ideas for bar crawls and costumes (two of my very favorite things) but mostly you'll just see a lot of photos of my fur baby, Hawkeye, and posts making fun of myself. Sure there's an occasional serious post and I can be overly theatrical, but I want you visiting my blog for the same reason I like to write it - pure fluffy entertainment with a hint of humor and sarcasm just to make you smile!

She's also a die hard Iowa fan {did you catch that when you learned her dog's name?!} and will defend her Alma Mater 'till the end. I like passionate people and Steph certainly is passionate, if nothing else. If I had to describe Steph in two words they would be fun & real. I mean, really, anyone who posts about cocktail cupcakes (by the way, you need this recipe for your Fourth of July celebrations next month, I promise!) and shares honestly about why sometimes she can be a mean girl {hello, loyalty!} is cool in my book. The blogging world has it's share of fake women who edit their lives for their readers but you won't find that with Steph. Heck, she shared one hell of a breakup with us earlier this year! When you visit Bourbon & Glitter, you get what you see and Steph never feels the need to apologize for it - and she shouldn't!

If you didn't know why she's awesome, you sure as heck do now! All that's left to do is to follow her on Bloglovin and Twitter so what are you waiting for?!

Another reason she's awesome? She's giving away an Amazon gift card to one of you lucky ducks!

Have You Met LB?

Have you met LB?

She blogs at LB in Wonderland and is new to the blogging scene. She has jumped in with both feet, ready to get 'em wet!

Here's what she wants you to know about her --
I'm LB and you can find me over at LB in Wonderland. I blog about being a new city gal, my adventures with life and love, appreciating the little things in life and bunch of other fun stuff. I am a fun loving, optimistic and generally hot mess of a person. You can often find me eating way too many sweets, being an awkward photo poser & dancing around (often to no music). My goal in life is to make people smile as much as I can. Hope you stop by Wonderland-I'd love for you to follow along!

Before you go much further, you should learn five new things about LB. As she mentioned, she's a recent transplant to Boston and has written a lovely ode to the events that happened during the Boston Marathon. She's not always so somber! Take the post where she talked about what she finds sexy in a man {be still my Ryan Gossling loving heart!} or her latest "What I Wore" post featuring a mint blazer. She's also well rounded, reflecting on what she wishes she'd known in college and about her time in New York City.

Today's your lucky day, readers! She's giving away a $10 gift card to Starbucks and a large ad space on her blog.

You're sorely missing out if you don't head over to LB in Wonderland! If that's not your style you can always follow her on Bloglovin, InstagramTwitter and Facebook.

Have You Met Samantha?

Have you met Samantha?

I'm part of the Bigs & Littles Blogging Network and was paired up with Samantha from Designer in Teal last month. Initially, my role was to be the "big" - to guide and advise Samantha in this crazy blog world... but our partnership is proving to be beneficial to both of us because while I'm helping her grow her blog, she's taught me how to properly use Google Hangout and was the inspiration behind our living room re-do. She's no longer just a blog acquaintance, she's a real life friend of mine and I'd love for you to get to know her, too.

Here's what she wants you to know about her -

I'm a newlywed living in Richmond VA. I am Virginia Tech Hokie through and through. I am an Interior Designer who LOVES teal! Also loves hanging out with my hubby Tim, shopping, Mexican food, pugs, mac and cheese, cooking, blogging and Jesus!

I blog about interior design and wedding inspiration, DIYing, recipes and every day life!

I am being completely honest that Samantha is one of the most genuine bloggers I've ever met. She's incredibly sweet and so enthusiastic about blogging... plus she has an incredible love for all things leopard. Her blog is full of wedding posts, home design ideas {like these DIY ideas to brighten up your walls}, and she even took some time to design a living room for me! However, if there's one post you need to read, it's this one. Why? Because she worked some serious creative genius to come up with that project! I can only lust over the end result. Really, no, really!

Take a few minutes to follow her on BloglovinTwitter, Facebook, and Pinterest - you won't regret it!

oh, hey! it's samantha's blog button! check it out!

Have You Met Lauren?

Have you met Lauren?

She blogs over at Tennessee Honey and is one of the most down to earth bloggers out there.

Here's what she wants you to know about her --

I'm Lauren and I blog over at Tennessee Honey. I have two children, unless you count my husband, and I'm a Doxie mom. I'm random, sarcastic, and usually speak my mind. I'm Southern born, but I'm FAR from "country". In fact, I'm probably the only girl in the south that doesn't like country music. I'm addicted to coffee, books, Harry Potter, and laughing. I blog mostly about my thoughts, vents, randoms, and occasionally about the little people I gave birth to.

Like so many of us, Lauren made goals and resolutions for 2013... and also like so many of us, she decided that making time to read for pleasure needed to be near the top of the list. She is pledging to read 30 books this year and is taking her readers along for the ride. The list of books she's reading looks pretty darn good if I do say so! When she's not reading, Lauren is a student and a mom to two. She may not have a full time job, but she's considering buying stock in her local hospital. Any guesses as to why?
And finally, if she hasn't won your heart yet, you need to check out these HILARIOUS videos - she'll win over your funny bone for sure!

Lucky for you, Lauren is giving away a $10 Amazon gift card and a month of medium ad space on her blog to one lucky reader {enter below}.

Head over to Tennessee Honey to read everything she has to say and if that's not your style, make sure you at least follower her on Twitter or Pinterest!

Revamped

I recently revamped my sponsorship options and lowered the prices so that there's a category of ad space for every blogger and every budget!

Please note that I am continuing to do swaps, but am reserving the right to decline your ad if I don't feel that your blog meshes well with mine. I also will decline your ads if I feel you are abusing and/or overusing my swap option. I love {and encourage} repeat swappers but I sometimes have to draw the line to be fair to others!

You'll see that I offer a swap ad {free with promo code} and ad spaces ranging in price from $5 to $15 and in width from 125 pixels to 600 pixels. There's something for everyone!

Sponsorships and ads on this blog are not taken lightly. I spend hours working to promote your space and to get results for you. I honestly feel that my past sponsors say it best - they have loved working with me, found that sponsoring You.And.Me.Are.We encouraged new traffic to their blogs, and was an overall great decision for blog growth.

Read more details about what some of my past sponsors have said and check out specific ad space details on my sponsor page.

Have You Met Meghan?

Have you met Meghan?
She's one of my favorite, favorite bloggers! In fact, she's so lovely that we teamed up {along with Meagan} for the Holiday Mixed 'Tape' Swap a couple months ago and I loved every second of it!

You may recognize her as being the blogger behind Shine On, however, she just completed a HUGE overhaul of her blog and is now known as
  The Book of Meghan

Here's what she wants you to know about her --

I'm a single, twenty-something, coffee-loving, social media-addict. I love and live in Seattle. I am a daughter, sister and friend. The EWU Eagles, Mariners and Seahawks usually have me pacing back & forth in my living room. Total sucker for a good book, and huge lover of animals.

Some more things I love...Twitter, Facebook, love, photography, chocolate, hope, Alpha Omicron Pi, the sun, the Space Needle, kittens, public relations, television, faith, sweats, Zumba, country music, spoilers, my family, ice cream, puppies, pizza & Pinterest.

Kind of makes you wish she were your best friend, right? She's got a little bit of something for everyone - she loves sports, has her own photography business, she is in the midst of losing weight {you go, girlfriend!} and becoming a healthier person, she loves The Bachelor as much as the next girl {Come on, you know you can't deny your love for Sean... or his abs!}, is a serious bookworm, and she can hold her own on Pinterest. Seriously, she's every bit as exciting and wonderful as she sounds - you need to stop over to The Book of Meghan and see for yourself.

If she and I lived in the same state, I know we'd see one Broadway show after another, eat some sushi, watch reality TV, and be blog buddies! You've got to check out her blog {really, you do} and you'll see why I can't say enough good about this girl!

While you're at it, follow her on Twitter, Pinterest, GoodReads, and Instagram!

Back on the Horse

First - I know you've been reading it everywhere today, but it's a very important message: If you live in the US, please go vote. It's your right to do so. If you don't and wake up tomorrow morning  {or next week} not liking who was elected as US President, you have no right to complain.

Second - If you love Christmas music {not necessarily in November - just if you love Christmas music at all!} you should check out yesterday's post. I'm co-hosting a Holiday Mixed 'Tape' Swap with Meghan and Meagan. If you're on a budget this holiday season {ok, let's face it, who doesn't watch their pennies around this time of year} then you're in luck! Our swap should only set you back a few buckaroos. Join us!

Ok, back to the reason I'm posting today!

After not featuring any sponsors in October, I'm back on the horse this month bringing you some ladies you should meet!

I know it's been a little while since I've done a post like this so let me remind you how this works - I choose my favorite post from each sponsoring blog to share with you all. That way, you can find some awesome posts without having to do a lot of work. Yes, I'm doing the hard part. Now all you have to do is click on the links I'm putting into this post! Do it!

First, meet Brooke {and Scott} from loving this unique life!

Hi, My name is Brooke and I write over at loving this unique life. Austin is my home. I'm a simple girl who loves the outdoors. I'm sometimes funny, sometimes awkward and all the time myself! I am a glass half full kind of gal and am usually very positive. I'm a lover of animals, working out, sour candy, exclamation points, and bike rides. Big things that make up my little world are my sweet future hubby, Scott, our dog Mac, my family and friends! I'd love for you to pop by and say hi!

You.And.Me.Are.We's post pick: You need to see the cute puppy that Brooke and Scott recently got. If your heart doesn't melt at the sight of his adorable fluffy face then we might as well just call you The Grinch.

Next, meet Chelsea from Yours Truly! She's the beauty behind Yours Truly Designs - if you're in the market for a new blog design, don't hesitate to check her out because you won't regret it!

Hi friends! My name is Chelsea and I am a blogger and blog designer at Yours Truly. My favorite things in life are my cute Kiwi boyfriend and awesome family, Vancouver city, cherry blossom trees and Hello Kitty. I have a passion for design -specifically blog design - and do it as a little side business for now but hope to start doing it full time in the new year. I'd love for you to come say hi!

You.And.Me.Are.We's post pick: You're going to want to grab a pen for this one - Chelsea was part of a link up last month all about brainstorming blog topics. I know we all get into ruts sometimes and are at a loss of what our next post is going to be about - seriously, you should use this post as a reference! Not only is it full of Chelsea's ideas, there are a bunch of other blogs who linked up their ideas as well. Pin this, write it down, memorize it, whatever you have to do - this is a valuable one, don't miss it!

Finally, meet Jenni from A Dash of Sunshine!

My name is Jenni and I am the blogger behind A Dash of Sunshine! I am a twenty-something student, wife, mother, and orthodontic assistant! On my blog you can find some tasty looking recipes and some pictures of the cutest kid in the whole entire world!

You.And.Me.Are.We's post pick: Ok, so I can't pick just one. Jenni has way too many yummy sounding recipes to narrow it down to a single recipe to share with you. Settle for three - then pin them all - and we'll call it good! Don't miss this pie, this twist on rice krispie treats, or these cookie brownies!

So get to it! Start clicking on links, making new friends, and supporting the blog community. These ladies have been wonderfully patient - working with me and my crazy busy life. They rock, so show them some love!

Have You Met Laura?

Have you met Laura?
She blogs over at Food Snob STL and is my new foodie blog addiction!

Here's what she wants you to know about Food Snob:
My blog is dedicated to wholesome, healthy food made right in my tiny kitchen. My husband, the Food Snob, has Crohn’s disease, which requires him to eat different than most people. Around our house, we mostly follow the Maker’s Diet, eat organically and locally whenever possible, and eat mostly sugar-free (unless it comes from natural sources like honey or fruit). Needless to say, when we got married 3 years ago, this was hardly how I ate. Gone were the days of frozen pizza and pasta for dinner, and I had to learn how to really cook, read labels and take risks in the kitchen for the first time in my entire life.

My biggest goal in our home, and with this blog, is to provide wholesome, healthy meals that anyone can enjoy. When I tell people the diet we follow, the question I most often get is “what do you eat?” People are at times shocked to find out that we foods just like them, I’ve just figured out how to “tweak” them so that they won’t make the Food Snob sick.

Now that we have a baby (check out my Snobby Mommy posts for more baby info and posts) and I’m breastfeeding, I find that what I eat is even more important than ever. I want to lay the foundation for a healthy child and hopefully avoid any allergies or digestives issues like her daddy has. That being said, we’re human. We like convenience and hate doing the dishes and live on budget.

We try to follow the rules most of the time, but we still enjoy going out to eat, going to different events around St. Louis, having friends over, and sometimes a girl just needs some ice cream and hot fudge sauce ;) . The one rule we always follow is that around here, it’s okay to be snobby about what you eat.

Pretty darn fantastic, right?!? Healthy, wholesome, convenience, budget, ICE CREAM?! Um, hello, I think we could be besties!

If you've never been to Food Snob STL, head there now! While you're there, you need to check out her post on Pumpkin Cream Cheese Brownies and Thin Mint Cookies. I've already made a list of things to get at the store so I can make my own soon! She has A. TON. of recipes on her blog that range from boozy banana bread to entire menus for special occasions.

I also learned about jicama while I was visiting - I've always seen it at the grocery store, but never knew what to make with it. Now I know and I've added jicama to my grocery list. I can't wait to try it out! Speaking of trying something out, this gazpacho recipe is on my to-make list before snowy flakes start to fall and it's too late to eat cold soups!

Stop by Food Snob STL and try a couple of her yummy recipes!

Don't forget to follow her on Pinterest, Twitter, and Facebook!

Have You Met Mindy?

Have you met Mindy?
She's pretty fantastic! You can find her at MarigoldRoad.

Here's what she wants you to know about her corner of the blog world --

The mission of MarigoldRoad is to encourage the hearts of women in their journey toward positive self-worth. It stems from a time in my life when I didn't value myself. It's my hope that my writing will challenge you to be the best version of yourself, no matter the stage of life you are in.

I stay home with the kids full time, so having an outlet where I can be honest, creative, or witty is highly therapeutic. I love to bake, craft, thrift, and wear cute dresses, so you'll see some of that sprinkled in, along with posts about the preservation of marriage, faith, and family.

I love it! Positive self-worth & be the best version of yourself - doesn't that just give you warm fuzzies?! If you've never been to MarigoldRoad, start here. While you're there, you shouldn't miss this adorable post about how she met her husband, Shawn. She also blogged about a weekend away with Shawn strengthening their marriage - something that we could all learn from!

After spending a few minutes reading her stories, you're bound to notice just how gorgeous she is, right?! {I mean, tell me I'm wrong.}  ........  {See?! Told you she's lovely!} So you shouldn't be surprised when I tell you that I want to steal the dresses she's wearing here & here & here, or that I already have plans to steal some of her hair tips.

Take a peek around at MarigoldRoad and let her know how wonderful you think she is!

September Sponsors

I've been working with a fantastic group of ladies for a couple weeks. They're my September sponsors and I couldn't be happier about it! They're super great, so make sure you stop by a few of their blogs to say hi. I promise that you'll like them as much as {if not more than} you like me!

I'm not lion when I say they're wonderful!
Corny joke to wake you up; come on people!

Get on with it, you say? Ok, here goes nothin'! Don't forget - I choose my favorite post from each sponsoring blog to share with you all. That way, you can get right to the meat and potatoes. I don't mess around here!

My name is Jaime and I'm the wife & mom behind Mom's Test Kitchen, my little space in the blogosphere where I share the recipes that I make for my family. The Hubs & I have been married for 3 years. We have the most beautiful, precious, perfect {I'm not at all biased} little girl, PJ, who just turned 2 at the beginning of the summer. She was God's wonderful surprise gift for us 4 months after we got married! We also have 1 fur baby that rounds out our little family :)
And if you can't tell by the "y'alls", I am from the South; and here in my kitchen, good Southern home cooking is a must! You won't find anything too fancy here, just good food to fill up your belly!

You.And.Me.Are.We's post pick: This post is filled with recipes that you can easily make when you're pressed for time. Jaime has linked us to over 50 yummy creations that can be made in 30 minutes or less. You're going to want to pin this one!

This is Carrie - she blogs at Frugal Foodie Mama!
I am a stay-at-home mama blogging about the food I love to make, my journey to become more semi crunchy, & how to stay a foodie on a budget.

You.And.Me.Are.We's post pick: This post about babywearing. It's not as weird as it sounds, I promise. Carrie is honest in sharing her thoughts about it and is straightforward about her experience with her Moby. For those with new babies or even those of us without kids yet, this is a good {educational} read. I will be a babywear-er when Trevor and I have kids so this post was extremely helpful in letting me know how beneficial it is!

Hi ya'll! I'm Allie from This Yellow House. I'm a DIY kind of girl that loves home design, crafts, my three crazy little boys, my wonderful husband and life in our yellow house.

You.And.Me.Are.We's post pick: This amazing little craft looks incredibly straightforward {like something you can do while sitting in front of the TV watching all of the Fall premiers!} but packs a big punch! Now I just have to find myself 165 plastic spoons. Pin this baby, stat!

Paige is sponsoring here two time over this month - once with her blog, Eloping Stethoscope, and another time with her shop Eloping Designs. She really is the sweetest blogger - she has such a kind heart. I'm completely honored she chose to double sponsor this month.

Hi! I'm Paige and I'm a very newlywed nursing student! My husband, Cody and I just got married in May 2012 when we did the unthinkable and eloped! I'm a third semester nursing student, which means I have 2 semesters to go until I get my bachelor degree. On my blog, you're going to find a ton of posts about embarrassing and funny nursing school related things. You'll also find stories of my newlywed adventures! I'm getting more and more into fashion and the next big thing coming up is a bunch of fashion posts! I'm so excited and I hope you'll join me for all the hilarity!

I started making jewelry a couple of years ago as a creative outlet. It really is a destressor for me. With all the analytical thinking in nursing school that makes me want to tear my brain out, I really need to exercise my right side of the brain! Then I found out my great grandmother also made jewelry and before she died, she passed on a box of the jewelry supplies she had. (She kept them in a metal tin! Typical Grandma!) It's been a joy for both me and my mom to feel like we carry a piece of my great grandmother with us when we were the jewelry I make from her supplies!

You.And.Me.Are.We's post pick: Paige recently posted this vlog about the girl behind the blog. It's a fun way to get to know her better but it's also neat to hear her southern accent!

You.And.Me.Are.We's shop pick: These hair ties are incredibly reasonably priced and they come in lots of different color combinations. She also offers custom blog planners {I bought one and it's been a lifesaver!} and jewelry. If you follow me on Twitter, you may have seen a tweet here or there about some great pieces she has. I'm a huge fan of Eloping Designs!

Get yourself over to their blogs and get to know them more! These wonderful ladies are incredibly supportive and I am lucky to call them my September sponsors. They've all contributed something wonderful to my sponsor giveaway, too! So keep your eyes peeled for it because it's coming soon!

Have You Met {the other} Sara?

Have you met Sara?
She blogs over at Miss V's Busy Bees and is a super sweet lady!

Here's what she wants you to know about her corner of the blog world--

I'm Sara, a 22 year old graduate from the University of Cincinnati. I'm your average girl with plenty of dreams, hopes, and goals. I love reading, crafting, blogging, Pinterest, shopping, and watching TV. My boyfriend & Socks (my cat) are my world beyond my family. I couldn't be more proud to call myself a teacher and cannot wait to start teaching on my own!

Have you visited Miss V's Busy Bees? You should! While you're there you should check out her step-by-step directions on how to make a tie blanket. Can you believe I never knew how to make one until now?! Anyway, they're incredibly easy and I'm definitely making one as a Christmas gift this year! If you're a teacher, you're going to want to check out the ways that Sara has found to spiff up a classroom {all for only a few pennies!}.

And if after all of that, you still want to know more about Sara {yes! you do!}, read all about her - from A to Z.

Don't forget to follow her on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest!
