Vacation Reads

Some of you asked if I would let you all know how the books were that I checked out from the library last week for our vacation. I've had a chance to read most of them, so here's what I think!

Chelsea Handler's My Horizontal Life was funny and I laughed out loud multiple times. Some parts were too good not to share with Trevor, so we ended up reading it together some of the time. It doesn't require much thinking and I'm not sure I believe every story she tells, but it's entertaining!

Janet Evanowich's One For the Money was really good. I like her writing style! I'd recommend it, that's for sure. My library doesn't have the next book in the series so I'm ordering it from Amazon.

Nicholas Spark's The Last Song. That's all I have to say :) It's a Nicholas Sparks book, what else can a girl on vacation want?!

Tina Fey's Bossypants has made Trevor laugh so hard. He saw it in the pile of books I brought home and claimed it as his. I haven't read it, but he's read me some parts that are seriously hilarious!

Jodi Picoult's Lone Wolf was really good, too. I read it in a handful of hours because I couldn't put it down. It was better than a few of her recent books, but the whole 'wolf' subject matter was kind of... odd.

Lisa See's Shanghai Girls is the book I'm still reading now. It's pretty decent for historical fiction ;)

Jennifer Weiner's Then Came You was the flop of the bunch. I haven't written it off completely yet, but I'm having a hard time getting into it.

So, weigh in, have you read any of these books? Agree or disagree with anything I've said? Should I keep trying with Then Came You? Let me know, guys!
