Back to the Grind

Hey there! I know it didn't look like I was gone for the past fiveish days, but I was no where near internet {I should know, I tried finding some}. Trevor and I spent some time at a family cottage on a lake in Northern Wisconsin. I loved {mostly} every minute of it, but I am so glad to be back! Thanks to Blogger letting me schedule posts ahead of time about some inspirational words, my fav foods, and glamping, I'm sure you didn't even miss me :)

Oh! And hey, girl, hey!!
I passed the Big Kahuna test!
It was a lot tougher than I thought it would be, and it took me a lot longer that I thought it would but it's done, it's over, and I passed! Now, to hunker down and work on my nursing school application. School starts on Thursday for one of my online classes - Advanced A&P. I hardly had a break from studying for BK {you know, Big Kahuna} and now I'm back to it.

There'll be a few other posts in the next week or two about our little getaway this past week but I don't want to leave you hangin' without any details! So, apart from eating my weight in s'mores and not laying a finger on my makeup or hair products, this is what we saw while on vacation.
Each other!
Yes! We finally had time to reconnect and relax together - it's about time!
Fish!
This was one of the smaller guys Trevor caught - we had a great time catching {on last count} 40 fish between the two of us.
Gorgeous sunsets!
Our dock faced East so we had some wonderful nights sitting out there without the sun in our eyes - it was perfect :)
...or really, just gorgeous scenery in general!
This is our dock - and the view from it. We stayed on a large lake, obviously, but were in a little bay so it was incredibly quiet the whole time.
Did I mention fish?!
Check out that good lookin' bluegill! In total, I caught a large mouth bass, a whole lot of sunfish/pumpkin head/whatever you call them, perch, and a bunch more bluegills. We were fishing fools!

It wasn't warm enough {notice the sweatshirt in the photo above} to lay out, read, and soak up some sun until the last day but I did manage to finish a couple books while we were there. Some of you asked if I could let you know how the books I got from the library last week were... so, come back tomorrow and see ;)

P.S. While I was gone, a few of my favorite ladies posted some great giveaways that I may or may not be a part of ;) Go check them out! One is at An Organized Mess - her birthday giveaway. The other is at Frugal Foodie Mama - a Blogger Appreciation Giveaway.
